Kari Lavin, LMHC

Staff Counselor

Background

Kari is a licensed mental health counselor dedicated to individual empowerment and whole-body wellness. She received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lesley University, and has substantial experience in crisis management and client-centered, trauma informed care. She works closely with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, interpersonal and life stressors, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community and those in Autism Spectrum populations. By incorporating treatment components from the expressive therapy modalities, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, she aims to empower clients to deepen their self-awareness and enhance their self-expression. Kari strongly believes her that role as a therapist is both as a collaborator and as an advocate. She aims to meaningfully understand a client's support networks and integrate with a client's other treatment team members to promote supportive and lasting positive change.
