Mara is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in mental health care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland. Mara specializes in treatment-resistant depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, and the unique challenges faced by young adults. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs. Her approach combines medication management with education on coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and the importance of structure and routine in daily life. Mara values respectful, collaborative engagement and strives to empower patients to live life to its fullest.
