Background

Topher obtained his Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing at Florida International University. He is Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Florida and Colorado. Topher has experience across a wide range of medical and psychiatric disorders. He has worked in a long-term acute care hospital and an inpatient behavioral health/psychiatric unit prior to joining OptiMindHealth as an outpatient clinician. Topher assists his patients with psychiatric concerns including those with mood and anxiety disorders, substance abuse disorders, and those with psychotic and delusional disorders. He utilizes a collaborative approach in patient care insuring collaboration toward a shared goal while working with the interdisciplinary OptiMindHealth team. Topher works with patients across the age range, and has an additional focus in working with the BIPOC LGBTQ+ community. Topher utilizes medication management and psychotherapeutic approaches to ensure proper patient-centered treatment planning while creating an atmosphere of free expression and safety.
