Background
Nicole received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College. She maintains Board Certifications as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse (RN-BC). Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Nicole worked as a staff nurse at McLean Hospital. With over 5 years of experience in the inpatient setting, she is highly skilled at therapeutic communication and crisis intervention/management. She has cared for patients with a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses and has significant experience working with adolescents and adults battling eating disorders. Nicole utilizes a person-centered, strengths-based approach in her delivery of patient care. She offers evidenced-based psychopharmacological interventions as well as non-pharmacological interventions based on principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and various other psychotherapeutic modalities. Nicole provides a safe, culturally inclusive therapeutic environment in which she works collaboratively with patients in developing and implementing their individualized care plans. She has a lifelong passion for mental health and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association, and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
