Deborah Felio, LPC

Staff Counselor

Deb Felio has more than 25 years experience working with individuals, couples and families. She helps those struggling with relational difficulties as a result of early trauma, addiction, attachment disruptions, broken trust and faith issues, grief and loss, and life transitions. Through compassion, curiosity and commitment to hearing the client’s story, Deb helps identify and address the limiting beliefs and responses created out of the pain. She then assists each person to develop healthier options for living in this world with others. She uses client centered approaches for interventions which include trauma informed practices, psycho-education, expressive arts, narrative therapy, family and group therapies, trust based repair, and interpersonal connecting. Deb has worked with racially and culturally diverse populations including international professionals, orphans and their caregivers in Kenya, adoptive and foster families, and in under-served rural areas in Colorado. In pre-Covid days she could be heard at various open mics throughout Denver.
