Dr. Campini utilizes an integrative treatment model and is well versed in different forms of traditional approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy. She works with children, adolescents, and adults.
She is passionate about helping individuals heal from difficult experiences, firmly believing in the transformative power of life challenges to create growth, and meaning in our lives. She has formal training and extensive practical expertise in core interventions that promote this healing process, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused CBT).
Dr. Campini often utilizes mindfulness based interventions in her work, helping individuals better connect with themselves and with others by becoming more aware of the present moment with all its hopeful possibilities. She offers five-week workshop series teaching people powerful and portable calming, focusing and stress-relieving tools, that are also effective in addressing depressive and anxious symptoms.
She earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Prior to joining OMH, she was a Supervising Psychologist at a large hospital in Chicago, Illinois, for more than 10 years. She is passionate about cultural diversity, has traveled to over 20 countries, and conducts therapy in English, French, Spanish and Italian.
