Dr. Shattuck received his D.O. degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012. He completed his psychiatric residency at Tufts Medical Center and is currently a psychoanalytic candidate at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. He practices in the Boston office.
Dr. Shattuck views psychotherapy as an exploration of how the past continues to affect the present. He feels that while the process of psychotherapy can be challenging for patients at certain times, the lasting positive effects can be experienced in every sphere of our lives.
Dr. Shattuck’s approach integrates psychoanalytic, cognitive, and mindfulness-based techniques with medication management. Dr. Shattuck engages with his patients in a creative, flexible manner that respects the complexity of each individual’s experience.
